Eva Longoria Stars in ‘Over Her Dead Body’

Filmed on the aesthetic principle that viewers want lots of sunlight, “Over Her Dead Body” is about a control freak (superbly tanned Eva Longoria Parker) who is killed by an ice statue on her wedding day. As a ghost, she haunts and pesters the cute psychic (Lake Bell) who heals and woos her ex (Paul Rudd).
In the movie, now playing in area theaters, the actress plays Kate, a high-maintenance bride-to-be whose wedding to her longtime boyfriend (Paul Rudd) goes tragically awry when she winds up crushed by a pick-up truck.
Refusing to move on to the next life before she sorts things out on earth, Kate has a conniption when she observes her former groom-to-be falling in love with a wacky psychic (Lake Bell).

I think it’s a nice change in the box office right now, from all the heavy Oscar stuff, all those heavy dramas. And the blood and gore over Christmas. We tried to go to the movies so many times, and it was like Saw IV, and even I am Legend was zombies. I was like, I want something fun that I can lose myself in.
